Does anybody else think Tumblr is having a bad effect on people?

There's a hivemind mentality, people overshare constantly, and you can't have an opinion of your own.

Seriously, this is a problem all over this internet. You can't even be a fan of cartoons, generally, or even of one specific show, without getting it from both sides--haters who dismiss everything you say as "lame and gaaaay" and "fellow fans" who think you have to suck up to every last thing the show-makers do to "be a real fan".

All Tumblr is, is a weblog system that revolves around pictures. It's been done before. And the hivemind/TMI business really is an internet/human nature thing.

It was on Geocities before it hit MySpace, and on MySpace before it hit Facebook. Trust me, I was around for most of it.
