What do I need to do to make my life more suitable and enjoyable?

Let me sum this up I have only had four real friends in my life as a freshman girl and I'm losing one right now. My parents are worried I spend to much time alone and I do. I don't play any sports and in one club bit they haven't been doing much lately. My parents divorced about 4 years ago(I live with my dad) and my mom remarried and had two more kids and lives in Oklahoma(i live in Kansas). I have never had a boyfriend and I know I'm only a freshman but people will laugh at the words of "I have never had a bf before." Sadly out of all of it the thing thAt hurts the most is that my dog had to go to Massachusetts for to much traveling reasons and my dad wouldn't take her cause we have 3 cats. The dog is 9 so she doesn't have have much longer and I keep having dreams of her passing on and she was the only thing I had. I don't know what to do anymore I have pretty much given up on trying to make friends and be happy.i just keep getting stuck in the middle of every thing. Please help any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Talk to more people at school! Get to know people in your classes, ask about people and what they are interested in! Look for a job and meet people there. You said that you have only 4 real friends, how did you make those friends? Go make friends the same way, guys or girls, and you will feel a lot happier. Life is about the companionship and happiness that other people bring us. Living in America, it seems difficult to connect with people on a real level with all this social media. Good people are out there, just take a leap of faith and get to know people! A good place to meet people is also church if you attend that. I am sorry to hear about the parents divorce, good people are around! Good luck and God Bless!
