Facebook Mobile Problem -- Help!?

I just got my new phone (LG Rumor 2) and tried to activate it for Facebook Mobile, I received the confirmation code a few hours later and clicked the link provided. It took me to Facebook to view my options (Ex: What Facebook notifications/messages would I like to receive, etc.) and I chose everything I wanted. It seems to say that I am activated for Facebook Mobile, but since the time I activated it (a couple days ago), I haven't received one text from Facebook but when I go on the computer and check my Facebook, I have received many messages, notifications, etc.

Am I missing a step??

Quit facebooks, quit cell phones. Get a life outside this kind of stuff. The youthfull world is a short lived world. Take advantage of your community.
