Are the facebook ads "free samples in the mail" safe?
the ads on the right side of the facebook page always have ads, and recently one caught my eye. it was to get free samples on cosmetics sent to your home. I just want to make sure the ads are safe before I give them my address and name. please help!!

IMHO, if all you're giving them is your name and address, you should be ok. If they require an email address (which they probably will), you'll no doubt get spam because of it. But again, if name, address and email is all they want, you should be "safe."

Ads such as these are why I have a "throwaway" email account. I do nothing with it other than allow it to receive spam. The reason I use a valid email address is because sometimes the ad wants me to click on a link in an email they send me to "authorize" the request I'm submitting. If I had given a totally bogus email address, I couldn't do this.

Ive never followed any of those ads, but I use a site called http://hunting4freebies.com to get free samples by mail. It is a legitimate site.
