Related magazines, campsites, camping, and holiday websites look for advertising space or ability to be link to (also good for increasing your google points)

It all depends how much you want to spend. Nice to see that you added your link, you're not without some knowledge.

Firstly I would spend some time on your website getting some branded gear on it, and building your portfolio of products.

"Now is the winter of our discount tents"

What an amazing slogan! I don't even want a tent and I would buy one from you if you used that.

After that, I would ensure that you really know what the terms Search Engine Marketing and Search Engine Optomisation mean. If you don't, or if you haven't done as much as possible to make you site optimal, then you need to go out and learn it / do more work!

Then... you will probably need to look into advertising via search engines on a PPC basis (http://adwords.google.com/ is as good a start as any).

Many friends who own e-retailing sites promote their products on EBay, Amazon, and Yahoo's paid search advertising products. There are many companies that can help you in this area if you don't have the time or expertise.

Best,

Marketing is simple and complex all at the same time. Before you do anything you need to make sure you answer the following.

-1 What country will the folks purchasing your product come from? I noticed your prices are in pounds... is going to be an issue? I am in the US. Will you ship here?

-2 Who is your target market? Everyone is not a good answer. Some people are not interested in your products, and some cannot afford them. You need to think of places that folks who purchase these products are.

-3 What makes you different from someone like Dick's here in the US? Is it price, personal service, uniqness of your product line etc. These differences must be played up in the Benefits and Features.

All that said, work on your organic listings in the search engines... these will take time. There is pay-per-click in both Yahoo and Google. Be sure to only use keywords that are directly related to a product you are competitive with. DON'T buy the camping... try something like 'air mattresses' or 'mountain camping tent'. You'll get less traffic, but your sales conversions will be higher.

There are always trade shows, camping shows, bumper stickers e-mail campaigns,eBay, CraigsList, Yahoo Answers, and partnerships with folks who have a similar appeal. How about Land Rover? Or a mountain bike company?

I would purchase Guerrilla Marketing: Secrets for Making Big Profits by J. Conrad Levinson and the 22 Immutable Laws of Marketing. These should give you a load of ideas. Also, try The Wise Marketer newsletter and Marketing Sherpa.

Good luck
