How to get rid of ads on my facebook page?

So I've not been on facebook on my desktop for around a week and I come on today to see that the facebook layout has changed again! On the right handside there are 'featured' or 'sponsored' ads that are really annoying, some are like animations which are even more annoying, I am so pissed off at what facebook has become I am actually thinking of deleting my facebook.
I tried what other people said, I deleted my extensions and history on my browser. I use google chrome. That however didn't help at all. Please help, I am going to have a seizure if they don't go away. Thanks

Since you are using google chrome, open app store and search for " ADBLOCK PLUS ".

Just install the extensions and those adds or gone! Not only in facebook but in any website, now the adds aren't displayed and even yoututbe's adds during videos will not show up!
