Are they really my friends?
I've been friends with these two guys for most of my life. I don't see them much because I work long/late hours. Anyway, running up to New Years Eve, I was expecting an invite to a party from them, since we always do something new years every year. I see one of my friends updating their status on Facebook, asking if anybody want to come to his party on new years.

Anyway, come new years eve i saw a picture of my friends online and never got an invite to their party. I haven't asked either of them why. They are closer and they both see each other more than they see me. It's like, they would rather invite loads of random people but not me..

My friend has asked me if i want to do something today and i'm wondering what to do. Should i confront him and ask why he didn't invite me? Should i just not meet him and never speak to him/my other friend again? Any advice on what you would do/what your opinion is would be very helpful, thanks

Maybe since you don't see them much, they think you have moved on from them as being close friends, maybe they feel left out from you, so they turned to each other. Just try to talk to them more, and try to spend more time with them.

Yes, definitely ask them why they didn't invite you. The worst thing you can do is not know and run all these scenarios in your head, like thinking they don't like you anymore, but maybe that's not true. Maybe they just assumed you'd be busy and didn't want to bother you, who knows...the only way is to ask!

Last thing you want to do is lose friends over something that could possibly be nothing.

Surely the invite was: "I see one of my friends updating their status on Facebook, asking if anybody want to come to his party on new years."

But don't just assume they hate you. I think you should meet up and ask them. But if this keeps happening then it's more than just paranoia and you should not bother them.

But give them another chance.
