My ex added me on facebook! What to do?

He's my first boyfriend. We dated for 4 years (highschool to sophomore college). You can say, he was my first love. However, things ended sourly between the two of us. We were sooo young and we were both immature. Also, he used to beat me, verbally, emotionally and financially abuse me during the last years of our relationship. My friends hate him and I avoided him for the longest time. We're 26 now. and it's been 8 years since the breakup. Then an hour ago, i saw a friend request from him. This is his 2nd friend request since i deleted his request a year ago. Do you think it's now the time to accept it? If I dont, will he think that im still being bitter? HELP....

Only you can answer that question though I have to wonder why you would want to talk again to someone who physically and emotionally abuse you.

I'd just leave the friend request sitting there and don't reply. As long as it's sitting there, he can't keep sending them to you.
