Facebook profile viewing?
Can anyone help me out here? Is there any way to view someones profile on facebook? I've only just registered & I'm not 100% sure if the person I've seen IS the person I'm trying get in touch with.
To explain (I'm not a crazy stalker or pervert type person!!) I have 2 children (1 by the person I'm trying to contact & a 2nd by my current partner, who has accepted my 1st as his own). I KNOW deep down my morals know that I should let the father of my 1st child know that he DOES have a child. My 1st was the result of a 1 night stand after a works night out (both the pill & condoms failed!) and the person did ask if he was the father and I said NO (was in a relationship at the time which split up during the pregnancy).
I've constantly searched for him on the internet & only recently thought to try facebook (have looked on google, myspace, bebo etc, etc in the past).
Sorry to confuse anyone, but the jist is I need to be able to see the pic on profile & pic is to small to view on list.

there are several different priivacy settings on facebook. The setting that the person has choosen will effect who can see their profile. The most strict setting is 'friends only' this means a person must accept you as a friend before you can see their profile. A bit more lenant is the 'network only' setting. This means anyone in the same network can view each other's profiles. (Networks are schools, places of work, or geographical areas). Lastly a person can have their profile set to 'public' which means anyone can view it. It sounds as though your friend has one of the first two settings.

just message him and ask something like 'do i know you from somewhere?' or something along the lines of that. but keep in mind that they have access to your profile if you message them, even if they arent added as a friend yet. but you can change the privacy settings to prevent that, too.

Because of the privacy settings, you can't just view anyones profile unless they are on your friends list OR in the same network as you. If you message or 'poke' him, you'll be able to view his profile for a month, so you might want to try that. Or just try adding him as a friend, and hope it's the right guy.

Good luck! =)
