facebook on pay as you go android phone...?
hey,

i would like a new phone and have decided i would rather like a smartphone. i am not getting an iphone because they are too expensive so i decided that a cheaper android phone would be better, eg sony ericsson xperia x8.

my question is this. if i were to download the facebook app onto the phone would it cost me credit to use that app as i am effectively going on the internet?

i am not getting a contract and wish to use the sim from my old normal nokia phone so i can keep my number. i know very little about smartphones and android and would rather like a few pointers please. also if you have any suggestions on cheap-ish smartphones that would be great.

thanks
if it makes any difference i am currently on tesco mobile pay as you go

------------ abotu 85% of all android apps you data (internet) in some way or fashion.. like weather apps, facebook, twitter, mp3 downloads, Android Market, and even app updating!!! So, make sure you have LOTS of credit when you "deal with apps"... My suggestions, is only play with your "data-driven" apps when your connected to WIFI... WIFI is free and unlimted internet via your home router (if you have one) or a resturant or hotel or airport or library or school... Btw, i forgot to mention... Games shouldnt use data, not unless you playing someone on the internet or sharing scores...
