Why don't I receive notifications from Facebook?

Recently I haven't been getting notifications from Facebook for wall posts, inbox messages, group invites, event invitations, etc. Of the ten posts I receive each day, I only receive one of the post's notification.

I've checked the preferences on my Facebook account and I should be receiving all notifications. I've checked to make sure I haven't blocked Facebook from my inbox and regularly check my spam to make sure the notifications don't go there.

Does anyone know what might be the problem?

There can be several reasons.
1. There can be a fault with your Facebook/Mail account
2. A hacker intrusion
3. Your recieving account have changed
