Why is the U.S. the land of "family values?"?

I share your idea of what family values should be
And I say that as a widow of a US Veteran.
Unfortunately the Right ( Reich ) wing Conservatives here in the USA
Are more like Nazi Hitler's time . They seem Intolerant and only into their own personal salvation type of Christian - who could care less about the happiness of others.
That is the way they come off ;
though they will deny it .
