Instagram Hacker going around?

Everyone's getting hacked! Two of my friends got hacked/deactivated!! If we can get Instagram to notice, do you think they'll put a stop to this? What's a way I can prevent getting hacked? Thanks.

They most likely got hacked because they either had simple, easy to guess passwords, or they told someone their passwords. To prevent getting hacked, don't tell anyone your password, make sure it's at LEAST 10 characters long and contains uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. After you come up with a password, try it at this site and it will tell you if it's secure or not:
