My favorite player in the nhl blocked me on Instagram?

Okay so Jamie Benn is my favorite player in the NHL besides Tyler Seguin.

So, Jamie Benn blocked me on Instagram. I'm a 14 year old girl and I have no idea why he would want to block me. I posted one picture of him 7 weeks ago and congratulated him. I liked maybe 5 pictures of his (not simultaneously) and commented on maybe two. (again, not simultaneously.) So, he really had no good reason to block me and my heart literally broke in half. I feel like I did something wrong but I don't know what. I'm crying right now because I've always been such a big fan of his, but I don't know what to think anymore.

Thus the rub with social media. Sadly, Twitter has turned into a cesspool and Instagram is probably not far behind. It may not be you personally...it may be that he's simply blocking everyone other than trusted friends teammates and family.

Without knowing you personally, I will try and be realistic:
You're a 14 year old girl.
He's an adult male, earning more this season (5 million NHL salary, or if you factor in all
performance bonuses or cap hit, 5.25) than what many of his " fans " will in a lifetime.

I agree with Leafsfan - privacy is something important to people who are in the spotlight.
Just because one is on social media should no't mean others can invade their privacy as
they please.
