Setting up a facebook account for my daughter?
Is thier a way to set up a facebook account for my daughter using my email account? When I try to do it, it says their is an account associated with this email, she doesn't have an email account and I want to track her facebook so want to use mine also, is thier a way to do this?
I really didn't post this to be berated by dumb ass people who don't know me or my kid, so screw off, if you can't answer nicely then don't answer at all! I am the adult and if I choose to track my child's account then so be it, it really is none of your business, she is 13 and I'll be damned if I won't know what s going on in her life everyday!!

No but you can create a new email and have the messages relay to a single source (e.g. smartphone) so you would still be able to track everything she does but it also gives her the ability to break off from that when she grows up without having to "start over." I would suggest trying that for now.

How about you let your daughter grow up on her own and interact with the real world on her own. If she needs your help or advice she can come up to you and ask you for help or advice. She won't be able to do anything socially at school or in college if you baby her around for the rest of her life. If you want to baby her and put a camera over her than don't make her a Facebook.

No, you can only have one facebook account per one email.

it's incredibly easy to just make a new email address and use an ipod or iphone to keep track of both at the same time. also, you're being a bit annoying by tracking your kid's account.

The reason you get that error is because your facebook is linked up to it.

Create a new email and link it up with that and monitor what she does

Yes you can do that to see what all she does, every time you get a message, poke, comment, etc... your email get's it and you can see what it says.

Hope that helpsBig Grin

Yes. You have to get her an email account first, and use that to make the account. Then go and edit her information and add your Email to her account. Then you will both get her emails, this is what my parents did for me. You could also do what my mom does and use your Facebook account to look through your daughters posts and make sure she's not friends with anyone she shouldn't be friends with. If this stuff doesn't work, you make concider opening a second email account just for yourself that she does not know the password for and usig it only for her Facebook notifications. For the record your daughter will find this annoying and creepy but that's okay. Make sure to keep your email password private so she cannot go on it and delete her messages (I used to do that when I was younger).
