How do you add a life event on Facebook?

I just split up with my boyfriend i want to put it on facebook that im single to avoid awkward questions at school like hows the boyf? E.t.c. How should i do this?

I think as soon as you change your relationship status to single, a life event will be created automatically!

You don't need to create a life event for something like this. Edit your profile to state that you are single. Just know that if you put a relationship status in when you were dating this guy, that will always be on your timeline.

Just tell your friends what happened and they won't ask. If anyone else asks, simply say, "we're not longer together". If they persist, all you need to do is tell them that you don't want to talk about it.
