Are there any good c++ programing books for beginners?

Im just now learning how to program and im wanting to create my own app in the future. Are there any good books on c++ that will help a beginner like myself? Please list some, i know there are tutorials online, but i seem to learn better when im reading a book, im less distracted with all this social media ect.

Extremely good, I learned in about three weeks and I am now going to college, I read that back in my senior year of high school and it is a great book, it helps you become pretty good. Although it is just straight forward reading.

I have seen C++ programming for dummies - try your local library first before you buy the book.

If you have a good used book store near you, take a look at their selection.

Don't worry about the books maybe being older. As a beginner, you are learning the simpler stuff and all the basics are stable.

You should probably learn JAVA or HTML or Python before attempting C++

If you learn Python for example, which can be done in less than a year, then it will only take you a few weeks to learn any other language out there including C++ HTML, JAVA etc...)

I suggest Python because there are so many free resources available online to help if you are not going to go to college to take the classes. Python is a versatile language and can be used to create a lot of different applications and video games, in addition to that it can be merged with several other languages into common programs.
Python is an open source program so you can download the Python client free online and get started learning right away.

There is a lot of difference between being a good programmer with a vocabulary of computational tools and being able to read and write code,
and just being slightly acquainted with a programming language.
