Question: My ex added my friend on facebook?

So my ex-fiance and I broke up a year ago. He deleted all of our mutual friends on facebook. My best friend (whom he has been friends with for 10 years) decided to re-add him on facebook a few weeks after we broke up. He never accepted nor rejected her friend request.

I have not talked with him since we broke up. He broke up with me.

Well he recently got engaged to a 19 year old girl he has been dating for 6 months. And tonight he randomly accepted my friend's friend request from a year ago.


Why would he do this? My friend thinks he did it so she would see he was engaged and then she would tell me. Or could this be his way of showing that he has moved past our break-up and doesn't hold grudges against our friends.
