Social media sites or something of the like for anime fans?

Are there any social media sites or something very similar for anime fans? I'm watching Oreimo and I want something friendly and cute sort of like what she used to meet friends.

Yes, well, I agree with Jon, most of the sites are forum-based.
You could set up an account on MangaFox where there are thousands and thousands of other users, and there's also GaiaOnline, an anime-themed social networking and forums-based site, I think it's the most popular one right now.

There are two options that I know of and have tried:
1) My anime list. Create lists, join groups, ask questions and chat to people who like the same anime as you.
2) If you have an apple device then Anime Amino has loads of members. You can blog, share photos, chat and it is really fun :-)
