what is up with the 25 free ringtones thing on facebook chat?

i mean everytime i go online like 20 ppl im me and say get 25 free ringtones at this web address and its driving me crazy. whats causing this? R my friends facebooks hacked? does someone do it from my account when im not on it? and how can i stop it? also 3 of my friends keep posting these things on everyones wall saying omg i cant believe i lost 25 pounds using diet/ exercise thing or something like tht and im sure my one friend didnt use bc he is like the skinniest dude ever so is tht a hack and how can they stop it and what is causing that

That is called an advertisement. This company paid facebook to let it advertise there. This is how facebook makes money. Think of it like you would a commercial on TV
