Logging in or deleting my account to instagram!?

My instagram is not letting me log in. my isername as well as my password are correct. I tried to do what it told me to do on instagrams help center website, but it didn't work & I never got the email. If there's any way to get back in that's be great, but if not, I wouldn't mind deleting my account. But in order to do that I need to log in. But if there's any way I could delete it, please let me know.
Again, does anyone know how to log me back in? If there's no hope, then how do I disable my account?
