I prefer Twitter trains to get followers. First you goto the website and join. You follow the people it gives you to follow and then you are added to the train. Then other people join the train and follow you. Here is a good one to try: http://targetfollowers.com

I strongly suggest you come up with a list of 7 to 10 keywords (soccer, charity, soccer coaches, soccer tournaments, etc.) pertaining to your non-profit and find followers who are tweeting using these keywords.
