im getting emails with dollar sign and it says that its ''sponsored" what does it means?

I've got some of those emails from the most biggest internet sites like facebook and yahoo automotive... also from e-salon... can someone explain that to me? im confused..

Those are Yahoo "sponsored" spam advertisements, and "so far" no one has figured out how to get rid of them.
(Adblock doesn't stop the "sponsored" ads.)

Yahoo has made them "un-deletable", because they get paid every time it's clicked on---(hence the $ symbol).
You will just have to learn to ignore them.

This is what Yahoo has to say about it--------"Free Yahoo! Mail is made available in part by the advertising you view while using our site".
