yahoo avatar problem?

im new and i want to make the yahoo avatar im seeing for many people. but i tried searching it on the search bar and i found this link that would lead me to the avatar making. but i keep going to profile page and not the avatar page?

There was some talk of yahoo making changes to Yahoo.com last fall and were going to go into effect starting about December 12 2012 and when they did go into effect some of yahoo.com things were going to be discontinued and or some things were no longer going to work. If you had a Avatars made by 12/12/2012 You were allowed to use it but could no longer make changes to it. I was 2 1/2 months making my Avatars in February 2013 . They discontinued Avatars so they could make Yahoo Mail Better with the Add on of Mail Applications and Mail Chat! Some of Yahoo Messenger was deactivated also. It all had to do with linking FaceBook and Twitter and making Yahoo Profile and settings changes.

Yahoo no longer supports the creation of their cartoon avatars, sorry.

But you can use a photo avatar or a cartoon avatar from another site, and if you have a Facebook or Twitter account, you can also use those avatars.

Go to: http://profile.yahoo.com/y/settings/privacy/ - make sure your profile isn't hidden, because if it is, your avatar won't show.

In case you want to use a Facebook or Twitter avatar, you need to link those accounts in the Profile options.

You have several options in case you want a photo avatar:
a) go to your Yahoo! Answers settings at http://answers.yahoo.com/my-activity > click edit my preferences near your current pic > click "Update photo or avatar",
b) go to your Yahoo! Profile at http://profile.yahoo.com/ , click on the current avatar.
Now upload a picture or choose one of the pics you've uploaded previously.

Note: if you are on a mobile, you need to switch to desktop mode first in order for this to work.

Try this follow the upload instructions carefully. You could choose either a cartoon or a photo avatar

The Yahoo avatars page is no longer available but you can do this:
Create a personal avatar below not a moving or large one, right click and save it to you pc then upload it as below.

Click your current avatar then click view profile or go to
