I really think the internet, social media, everything is really hurting people's understanding of what is actually going on politically and hurts the political process. I see very little actual discussion even in real life it is brought down to the slogans strewn across the internet and motofakes. Unfortunately I see people talk in person like they do online. There used to be exchanges of information, facts, and ideas. (and no 90% of what masks itself on the internet as information and facts is not it's just crap).

Your opinion is our political future as a country helped or hurt by internet?
Yes Tencenttax I am here but if you look at my statistics you will also notice it has taken me four and half years to reach level 5 which indicates I am not here all that much because I tire of it quickly.

It might hurt more than help but it completely dependent on how smart are to begin with. If you embrace false logic and hate then nothing can help you. That is to say that human beings are far more ignorant than we imagine.

The internet exposes people to a wide range of opinions. They can decide what to do with it.
TV is far more dangerous. A few corporate players tell you how to vote and don't offer anything but their propaganda.

Does any actually know what going on in politics??? Why are we really stuck with two parties?? What baggage comes with these parties? And why are we still following rules that were made 100+ years ago that has no consideration of the tools we have access to today???

Trust me nothing we do will effect what's going on in politics...

Individuals are smart. Once they become a member of a group, they are transformed into complete idiots.

On the internet, people post all their political opinions. It is good, because people can read other's opinions on politics. There are probably literally millions or billions of political articles on the internet, and anyone can read whatever one of them they like just by looking it up. Talking to people about politics in real life is good because it exposes someone to different opinions, but it's even better if someone also reads the internet and the political views of others on an even larger scale.

The internet helps people's understanding of politics. It exposes them to a wide variety of opinions.
