Is this false advertisement? Can I fight it? Please help!?
Okay so I was planning on doing some Black Friday shopping this year at Walmart. It was all over the internet and even Walmart's Facebook page that you could put items that are in their sale on layaway before the day of the sale (if they already have it in the store of course...) and on Black Friday after 9am, get the price changed to reflect the sale price and close out your account. Hearing this information made me immediately go to Walmart and use layaway on the things that I could find in my local store. I will use one as an example: I placed the NOOK Color on layaway at $139. On Walmart's Black Friday ad, the price says $99 at 10pm. I was planning on going to Walmart and closing out the account at the Black Friday price on Friday. Then, Walmart stated on their Facebook that the only prices you could match were the items from their 5am sale, NOT the 10pm sale. HOWEVER, upon browsing the ad on their website, I hovered over the item and clicked on "Details", and a page came up that included the item photo, description, price, and below stated "Valid only in stores, Thursday Nov 22 10pm - Friday Nov 23 11pm" This implies that the price is good until 11pm Friday correct? So if they tell me they can't give me the Black Friday sale price can I fight this and force them to give it to me at that price for false advertisement? Also some people said that the Black Friday products would have different UPC codes so it technically wouldn't be the same item... Is this legal even though the item is identical? The ad doesn't state that it is for products with a specific UPC... it just says the NOOK Color, etc... PLEASE HELP!!!!!
The NOOK Color only has one 8gig model, unless you get the HD - there is no confusing a model number for this specific product.

It will be a different model number.
They do this every year.
I bought a printer on black friday once.
The day before, they had one but it was slightly different.
On on the sale date, they had it and I bought it.
A week later they went back to their regular printer - what they sell regularly.

To summarize: The items they put out for black friday are only offered for that day.
Leave Layaway alone. You don't need it.

Sorry I don't answer questions that begin with "okay." 99% of the time it is a pointless question written by a nitwit.
