How do you find people on twitter; in your area and with a specific interest?
I cannot find people on twitter in my area. It's weird that all across the world I find people with my interest, but not near me. Any thoughts?

Twitter actually has a less-known Advanced Search page you can use.

You'll be able to do exactly what you want from there!
