on the web Peter Coffin has been outed as having a fake girlfriend for 8 months. Yeah what he has said and done is bad but this technological backlash is just not normal for a human being to handle. People are making fake blogs pretending to be him to make him look bad..fake twitter accounts being him..What are people doing? trying to make him commit suicide? I really don't understand how people can be so evil just because there is an anonymity to their name on the internet. It's not just toward people that make a stupid mistake on the internet and say something ignorant like Alexandra Wallace or Jessie Slaughter, but just everyday in the comments section on youtube or even in the comment section on yahooanswers there's a mean, hostile, evilness all around. I'm beginning to think social networking and all this communication through technology is a very negative thing. what are your thoughts? what are your personal experiences with bullying on the internet?

When I ask a question on here I get a rude answer. People are just way too comfortable on the internet and can say things because they aren't having to say things to your face. Or they have a rough life and need someone to take it out on. People need to keep things to themselves.

You have to adapt. The internet is evolution. The internet is a whole frontier, a whole new world. No one really knows what the internet is for... eh, yes they do but that's not the point. The point is people have to accept responsibility. They have to be careful. They cannot put their faces online or their entire lives online for that matter. Grow a thick shell because words will never hurt you on the internet. Make mental shields and continue on. But like I said before, the internet is not a place to display your life on. Also people are bored at home and do it for the lolz.

We all expose ourselves to invasion of privacy whenever we do what we do here....... The Internet is a playground for cyber-predators as many have learned. We all have to be careful what we say and what we do nowaydays because it's the new "Big Brother" in ways we couldn't have imagined. Facebook has become a haven for the good and the bad on the internet. It's destroyed lives and at the same time connected friends from long ago. We have to take the good along with the bad with it because it's here to stay.
