You need to be patient! But some good tips are:

Dont tweet rubbish! If you wouldn't want to see it on your timeline then don't tweet it.

Keep things interesting! Tweet links, pictures and videos.

Once a week do a follow for follow or follow back Friday.

Always look at the trends and tweet about them. This way more people will see your tweets.
