Question about facebook post?
There was a facebook post that a friend of mine put up about them having an awesome night at a party they went to but then didn't feel so well the next day. It's obvious they were drinking. There were a few people that commented on that post who were also at that party just making funny remarks about how they felt afterward and saying funny stuff to the other commenter's. I was at that party too and was responding to the post the only difference is I was the only one that didn't drink at the party nor do I ever drink. There was one person who commented on the post who was also at the party and they responded that "anyone who doesn't drink shouldn't be commenting on this status" This person knows that I don't drink and they also know that the rest of the people who commented do. My question is how should I take that persons comment? Should I take it as them being an asshole about it to piss me off or are they probably just being a smart *** in a silly kind of way not meaning to sound like a jerk? Which sounds more likely?

well, it is facebook, who gives a sh#t what people say on it. FB is making people obsessive about social online media and is robbing the humanity of human interaction. bottom line, who cares what people say, it is good you don't drink because drinking makes people stupid.

It's really hard to interpret that becuase when it comes to communicating over the internet, misunderstandings just tend to happen all the time, especially when there is no smiley face or with a tongue hanging out at the end.

It's just best not to respond at all since we don't really know the person's intent. It's just nearly impossible unless you ask.
