What are some ways to promote myself as an author?
I have written and published my first ever novel titled 'Autumn Recovery'. I sold a little over 200 hard-copies and a little under 100 e-books. Though this is not much, it still feels like a huge success to me at the age of nineteen. However, now I am wondering where to go from here.
How can I promote my already self-published novel? Ads |

Giveaways, promotions with blogs or sites, or buying adspace. Many authors I follow online also use social media.

Start writing another novel. Almost nobody makes a career out of just one book.

Write another novel, review other novels on Amazon, and start a blog.

Gain notoriety by doing something weird and crass in a youtube video.
Video yourself base jumping, and wack it on youtube. Make a blog, and link your youtube videos. Make a website promoting yourself, your novel and your crazy-*ss youtube video's. Design some cool T-shirts and sell them on your website ! |

Since your book is basically a romance novel, I suggest working the romance novel circuit. there are many local conventions which feature various authors with vanity books selling their novels direct.

Yeah S is right. Weird and especially crass is what works. Swallow a used tampon or something.
