If I install timeline on facebook, do I have control over my wall?

Currently I have my wall disabled but would like the install the timeline feature as I like how the layout. But I don't want past things revealed on my wall, does FB allow any control to remove or display past wall posts when using timeline?

When you install timeline on Facebook , all your privacy settings will stay the same , so if you have hidden your wall before the layout will change but it will stay hidden, it is all controlled within the privacy settings.

What Joe said, plus you can also hide items independently (there's a little pencil icon in the right corner of each item you publish that will let you edit or delete the item).
