How long can I be sent away ?

I sent a nude to an ex and he sent it to another girl . She posted it on Instagram . She's being charged with that and we have our second court cases tomorrow , and I'm wondering how long can I be sent away for child porno . I'm only 16 and I'm scared the picture was from way over a year ago now . But just got posted like 4 months ago . I'm scared and just need some answers .

Have you been charged with anything? If so, you need a lawyer. Talk to your parents about this. They should have an idea of what is going on. I very much doubt you will get jail time for sending someone a nude picture of yourself. Just be smart from now on and don't do it again.

Depends on the State and the laws and how serious they take this. Some States have made a law against "Sexting" to lessen the punishment from Child Porn. Other States still use Child Porn laws. Either way it would be juvie, not jail, if they lock you up. More likely would be a probation situation. Although if it is Child Porn they might have to lock you up under mandatory guidelines.

All of you could be in trouble for distributing child porn. You could have the additional charge of creating it.
It depends on whether the law wants to make an example of you, of them, or all of you as to what can happen.
