Is advertising on sites like Facebook illegal in the US?

Okay I'm seriously sick of seeing false pages from Israel on Facebook, or popular pages advertising dumb things..

For example there's some brilliant group I like, I join it and the Page maker advertises products.

Whenever I 'like' an American group or page it's NEVER like that, so is it illegal or that's just how people are there?

Here in the US it is llegal do that kind of stuff. That's how myspae and facebook are free. They get money from the advertiser. So, they don't have to charge us for using their site. They charge the advertisers for the space for their advertisements.
