how to keep pop up from coming on my computer?

whenever im on facebook Amazon etc. pop ups suddenly come up
I tried searching on bing how to get them to stop but had no results that matched
pop ups will pop up suddenly advertising another site at the bottom of whatever webpage im on
or they will pop up saying congratulations your our winner or somewhat

any idea on how to stop these pop ups they are very annoying
please help thank you

Buy an apple computer.

while on the internet go to tools

then pop up blocker settings

and put it on high


that should stop them but facebook is funded by ads soo some pop ups will always be there that's how facebook makes money

I hope you have a great antivirus running on your PC .... If not an excellent free antivirus you can use is Avira free antivirus. If you don't have a virus then please proceed with these instructions..

1. For Google Chrome Browser click on the 3 horizontal line icon located directly below the close icon represented by an x in a red box.
2. Scroll to settings and select it.
3. The settings window will pop up (no pun intended), next please scroll to the bottom of the page and click show advanced settings
4. You will see the word Privacy and beneath it two buttons content settings and clear browsing data. Please select the content settings button.
5. Scroll until you see Pop ups ... make sure the Do not allow sites to show pop ups is selected. If not please select it and click done to you lower right hand corner of the page...
6. Close your browser and then restart it.... you shud be good from there...


1. For Internet Explorer browser, look to the right hand side of your browser and you should see tools. click on it and it will collapse, you shud see pop up blocker, navigate to it and you will receive the option to turn off pop ups..... If u dont see the tools button on yur right then look to your upper left corner... If you dont see it there either then right click on your browser and select the command bar and you shud see the tool button....
