I am interested in beer marketing?

I currently am employed in digital media (web, video, social media, graphics) design and marketing for a B2B company and would like to move into business to consumer marketing. One of my hobbies includes trying and enjoying micro-brews and different types of beer, and I think I could be really good at marketing it. Does anybody have any suggestions or know how to get into beer marketing?

First of all, congrats on your hobby - great skills.

If I was in your shoes, I would try to find some local beer distribution centers. Or even walk into the local stores and see if they could hook you up with the vendors that supply their beer. Right now with the recession, getting into a new career is more of a challenge than it use to be. But if this is something you really want to do, don't give up when one door gets slammed in your face. Also, google that type of career to see what is out there and get an idea of what skills are needed. I am not sure if you would need to be certified, but ask. Good Luck
