No ideas. Best ideas would be found on google (just avoid those huge forums with hundreds of posts)
shouldn't be hard to find.

There probably won't be a Mudkip event, considering Torchic was distributed solely for its Mega Stone "Blazikenite", which cannot be obtained in-game through normal means; it was nice of the Pokémon Company to distribute it with its Hidden Ability active.

As for upcoming/the next event, the best way of finding out would be by either watching for information released or leaked either by Nintendo or the Pokémon Company on their website(s), game stores or social media. The second event was -supposed- to have been the gift Celebi that is included in Pokémon Bank, but due to its delay over the Christmas Holidays, that could change if another event begins before PokéBank is released in the west.

A great place to find upcoming events and ongoing distribution information would be any dedicated Pokémon fan site, such as Serebii.

Event Database - http://serebii.net/events/

There is another unobtainable Mega Stone in the game's code - Latias/Latios's to be specific. Possible sixth generation event Pokémon found within the game code include Volcanion (possibly located in the locked section of the Power Plant), Hoopa (possibly linked to the "ghost" Hex girl in Lumiose City) and Diancie, in addition to unobtainable colourations for Vivillon and Flabébé to name a few. Only time will tell.
