Why does my best friend expects me to call her everyday?

I love my best friend and all but I can't always be on the phone. I can't call until after 9pm on weekdays. She called before nine a couple of times and she knows that. I call her sometimes, but she won't leave me alone. She calls me EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!! I understand she wants to know how I'm doing but I don't always feel like talking on the phone. She has other friends but she calls ME the most ME. We've been friends for almost nine years now. She expect me to call her every day. On Facebook she'll message me "Hey I tried to call you." EVERY STINKING DAY. I don't go on Facebook every day. I don't wanna lose my friendship with her I love hanging out with her. We live 20 minutes away from each other. She said that best friends should talk on the phone EVERY DAY and be together. She calls ME the most, but she calls her other friends but mostly ME. WHY DOES IT ALWAYS HAVE TO BE ME?!! WHY?

I'm not trying to ignore her or anything. Do you think she's clingy to me?

obviuosly, ur her bff. and she wants to keep in touch and misses u.but she a little clingy if u ask me. i mean she calls, says she tried to call, then repeats. politly tell her u dont feel like talking on the phone everyday, and suggest the idea of you calling her instead of her calling u.

Being friends for 9yrs can attack you to someone. I believe she loves you. She loves you to the point that she wants to be with you and talk to you at all times. I had a gf like that. She got mad when I helped other girls with their homework, which I was the professional tutor at our college and thats what they paid me to do. She just didnt want me to do anything or go anywhere without her. she even made me drop friends that I had to be with her. But if I were you, I would call her up one day and ask her to meet you somewhere so you can both talk face to face. I would hate to see your long friendship go to waste over something not serious. Maybe you're a very good friend she wants to keep. I was about to say maybe she likes you but judging from your name you're a woman so nevermind. I don't think it's anything wrong with trying to be a very good friend and keeping in touch but at the same time you should tell her you want some me time sometimes too.
