how do you cancel your facebook account?

Hi, it's all in the title.

I requested a cancellation but they told me it was just a deactivation. This is not what i meant, i want permanent cancellation.

Next week they sent me an email telling me that someone has reactivated my facebook account. They say that anyone who has access to my email at home could have done that. No one has come to my place since days.

I sent them an email asking to cancel my account but i still have no reply. How on earth can i permanently cancel my facebook account??
