People/Friends/etc. complaining about privacy. Do we have that anymore?
This is towards both males and females since I've seen both do this. Now, we have the creation of social network sites and people post ANYTHING on there that tickles their fancy or will post something that is bothering them. But, than people will complain about not having privacy or hate that people get in their business when they outright post things on social networks that gives the attention of them being bothered by something or someone. I mean, everyone wants privacy and doesn't like people in their business, but if you don't like people in your business, why post something vague about it and such?

Like facebook, people will post something in their status that is either vague or seem to bother them, but when someone asks what is wrong and such, they say it is nothing or that everything ok. Some will complain about being in their business, some will say everything is fine now since everything is actually ok or might still be bothering (but just act happy to hide the pain), but why post it anyways if you are just going to moan about people being annoying or nosy? Same thing with sites like twitter, tumblr, myspace (if anyone uses that still), etc. What is your opinion?

And yes, I know the social network sites are like blogs and people post in them to release themselves from anger and aggravation, but if you like to be private and don't want people in your business, than doesn't it make sense to not use blogs than? The internet is public, as much as the sites give you options to be private, EVERYTHING will be public when you post on the net.
My bad, made the title seem like a 2 part question when it really isn't. But, you can answer it in anyway you want to if you decide to read the question or not.

Nobody has to use social networks. Beyond checking emails, using search-engines and perhaps buying things on-line, it's not even necessary to use the internet.

What is private and personal.....is many times confused ....
....with where our personal "boundaries" are....and what we choose or NOT choose

to be guarded about.....AND

is a PERSONAL thing depending on the individual, how they were raised and past life experience"actual " and " virtual" ...social interaction

I guess I agree that in PUBLIC forums/social networks ..."privacy" is an oxymoron

still some like to have the illusion of control

and some say what ever they want when ever they want and expect no consequences
or accountability

I boycott Facebook. It's perfectly possible to participate in some kind of social media without talking about your personal life. I've managed. Those people don't WANT privacy.
