Can she see my messages?

On facebook, I found my best friend from 10 years ago. Now I want to add her as a friend I cant because it only allows me to message her..never seen this before on a profile...I have sent her messages but I dont think shes got them/seen them. I cant like any of her stuff which is weird. What kind of facebook profile has she set? Like privacy wise. I really want to talk to her again.

she probably has her profile set to private.

she is getting the messages, but since facebook have 2 inbox's, they are going into the other one.

Inbox 1 she will get all the messages from friends, and be notified she has messages.

Other, none friends messages go in there, the recipient is not notified and a lot of people miss that inbox.

if you click on the messages icon at the top on facebook, right next to inbox you will see 'other', you probably have a few messages in there yourself that you never noticed.

so untill she actually see's the 'other' inbox, she wont see your message.
