Don't you get disturbed over graphic videos on the internet?

Have you ever came across any real life graphic footages of real people getting decapitated and people being murdered in a very gruesome fashion? there was this thumbnail of 2 guys that were about to be dismembered by a chainsaw that I saw the other day on my Facebook newsfeed, but I didn't click to watch it. What do you guys think of this? To me, I think it's sickening and unethical for people to even enjoy this type of behaviour. Being witness to that leaves a very disturbing image in my mind that could possibly scar me for life, and there are kids who also uses Facebook too who might be expose to these images. At the same time, however, It's kind of important to have an awareness about the reality that goes on in this corrupt world of today.

Well when I see something like that, I don't forget it. I stopped using facebook because I was sick of seeing videos and pictures of people and animals being killed, abused etc... I'm with you with the fact that it's good for kids to understand the craziness that is today's world but something that graphic is not the way to teach them. I accidentally clicked on a video of this guy he was circled by loads of people all like chanting or whatever and then this guy had a massive machete knife thing and started jumping up and down in the circle of people swinging the knife back and slashing open his back repeatedly I watched like 10 seconds or something before quickly exiting it, that's something I've never forgotten - it was so shocking to me that someone would actually do that to themselves, I didn't watch the hole video but I wonder if he ended up killing himself. I don't know why this kind of stuff slapped in every nook and cranny of facebook.

What is the difference if they see it on YouTube or if they see it on the street outside of their house?

As far as disturbing images go, I have many more that are forever bound in my photographic memory that I cannot delete. These were not the result of watching YouTube or movies, but actually seeing the atrocities that one man can do to another man, or in some cases women, in real life. If you work in law enforcement or the medical industry, you will often see things such as decapitation. Unfortunately, of recent years I have encountered more and more people in these fields that are sexually aroused by such horrendous sites. In fact, there are more than a few of the sites on the Internet, currently.

If you believe that such things are sickening, you should observe some of the pornography sites that are currently on the Internet. Some may think that clown porn is a joke, but it is not. There are even sites dedicated to necrophilia, sex with the dead, and these are heavily visited. The only thing that I can think of that is worse is that there are now video cameras actually installed in most mortuaries with the intent of preventing the mortician from having carnal knowledge of the corpses.

I am quite aware that all of this has gone on since the dawn of time. However, I believe that the human creature is becoming more and more perverted as time goes along. Many snivel and whine about homosexuality when they have no idea of the true perversions that are going on under their very noses. Perhaps worse, they do not even bother to complain that their governments are making fortunes off of these various perversions. In fact, more than a few of these politicians actually engage in such perversions. Child porn is about the only one that truly gets any respect when it comes to law enforcement.

When we get into the discussion of whether a person is sick or not, it becomes subjective. Many of the things that you enjoy, others would consider sick or perverted. It is for society, as a whole, to decide what is or is not allowable. Unfortunately, at least today, everyone is so engrossed in their own lives that they do not pay any attention to what is going on around them unless it directly affects them. In other words, most people don't care about drive-by shootings unless they are shot. They do not care about rape unless they are raped. Perhaps this is more sick than anything else in the world today.
