Why do my facebook notifications keep disappearing?

About a month ago, my fb notifications began disappearing. Not all of them, but most of them. I don't really care, but my gf, who has my fb password, is starting to think I'm hiding something from her. I don't know what's happening, could somebody please tell me what is wrong with my fb account!

Oh I think I see what the problem is : it could be because you left your facebook open or because you left your password on a note or something. But what has most likely happen is that some minor bug in facebook erased memory for a very short amount of time, creating a breech in the system who would have make 'disappear' your notifications. Its a very common problem, so you dont have to worry: your facebook is fine. And by the way, you shouldnt let your password to others people than yourself, for security reasons (its like a PIN, you know).
