Is 512MB of RAM enough?

No. Your phone is going to lag and stutter when playing games or youtubing. Go with at least 1gig of ram.

There is no phone nowadays supports 512MB. At least 1GB and up.

depends on screen size, the rom/firmware size, how system manage running apps(I guess 512mb can perform only a lightweight multitasking; 2-3 apps running), cpu and gpu type.
If it's an Android I guess the best solution is root the phone, delete any bloatware/unwanted apps, or install custom recovery and flash custom rom, or flash tweak scripts for better performance and memory manager to make the phone runs blazing fast. |
