Facebook Notifications aren't showing up?

Facebook notifications from some friends aren't showing up. Anyone know how to fix this? I get notifications from apps and when friends like my status but no notifications when they comment on a post. A while ago i clicked on a notification and said hide all from this friend. Anyone knows how to fix that?

once you login there should be a link next to the search box that says settings. Let the drop down menu appear, and click on account settings, then there should be a tab that says notifications. In here you can edit what notifications you want to revive and not revive.
