IWC or the pro wrestling fans at the stands, who does wrestling companies listen to more? +BQ?
Like TNA, WWE and ROH, the three well known promotions in North America, to whom do these companies turn to more, the fans who come to each of their shows and participate in all of their events, or the wrestling critiques online who bash them and keep ranting about how they can improve?

I won't lean on a particular side, because sometimes we tend to see them getting ideas from what we suggest from online, as in through polls and surveys or maybe they just visit wrestling sites and check what people want to see. And then sometimes the live audience too makes them decide what to provide the fans with.

But what has more effect? The IWC or the live audience?

BQ: What all events have you been to of wrestling promotions?

I would have to say the fans in the stands. I don't think they pay attention to the IWC. All they do I'd criticize.

Wrestling promotions are very negative towards IWC fans. They label them as smart marks and mock them ( the WWE video with Road Dogg and Josh Matthews i think it was is a prime example). At times maybe that is warranted because it seems that IWC fans always have something to complain about, nothing is ever right in their eyes, but at the same time some of the criticism is spot on. I'd have to say that the companies do lean more towards the live fans in making decisions but thats for companies like ROH and TNA. Personally i think WWE do whatever the hell they want to do regeardless if what the fans want, eg zack ryder.

Years ago it was the fans who decided who got a push, who turned heel, who turned face etc by their reactions. Companies took notice. The Rock is a prime example. He was boo'ed when he first joined WWE so they turned him heel. When he started talking in third person and using his catchphrases fans popped and they turned him face. WWE don't seem to give a damn about what fans think any more, they will tell us who to cheer and boo and that's final. Zack ryder is a prime example, im not a fan of his but he gets the best pop outside the main event guys yet they don't push him. They leave him off shows and PPVs regularly and booked him in a feud with Kane where he came out looking weak at the end of it. I believe this is the case because Zack Ryder got over using the internet, the IWC helped make him what he is today and WWE dont like that due to their feelings about the IWC. The power of the IWC is increasing though and all promotions will soon have no option but to acknowledge their influence and opinions.

I's say the pro wrestling fans at the stands because wrestling companies don't like the IWC because they complain about everything and are never satisfied with the product. Live audience has more of an effect because they will chant for what they want and boo who they don't like which can tell a wrestling promotion what changes they need to make with the product. But you make great points and I agree with you.

BQ: Wrestlemania 17, Wrestle Kingdom VI and I'll be going to Summerslam.

The fans who actually buy tickets to the shows and buy PPV's. The IWC is a minority and those companies listen to the majority of fans which are not wrestling critiques online. But the IWC is still a little bit important to all of them because we are fans as well. But each company is different, so let's look at each one of them:

WWE - WWE is obsessed now with social media, so for once in their existence they care a little bit about what we want from them. They constantly want us to tweet and tout our thoughts on this and that or asking us what do we want to see. Thanks to their obsession with social media, they are making the IWC bigger now than it was before because for example now we see more kids on Yahoo Answers, more kids that are wrestling fans on Twitter, more kids that are fans on YouTube etc. So if they continue with this obsession they have with social media than they will have no option but to listen to us more than they do now i think. But right now they still listen to the fans at the stands more than the IWC. The kids and women are more important to them than the real fans.

TNA - TNA listens to the IWC A LOT more than the WWE because the majority of TNA fans are members of the IWC. This is how most of us found out about TNA's existence, by going on the internet and visit wrestling sites. I for example, joined the IWC in 2006 and that's how i found out about TNA. I didn't know what TNA was prior to 2006. I really thought WWE was the only major company. TNA is constantly giving the fans what they want and that's not how they should do things. You cannot always give the fans what they want simply because the fans don't always know what's best for them and the company. So TNA shouldn't always listen to the critiques online but that's kind of impossible because you got the TNA President Dixie Carter tweeting every day. We don't see Vince McMahon tweeting so why is Dixie Carter tweeting? She should spend less time on the internet and more time on making her company better.

ROH - ROH exists thanks to the so called hardcore fans who enjoy WRESTLING, nothing more, nothing less. They are here for the fans that don't care much about storylines and drama, all they want is great matches. So ROH doesn't listen to "Sports Entertainment" fans, they listen to those who are fans of the sport that is Professional Wrestling.

BQ: I've been a wrestling fan for 13 years and I've never been to a wrestling event yet. The closest I ever got to an arena was standing outside of Madison Square Garden I think where WrestleMania 20 was gonna take place in that arena in a few months. That's the closest i ever got. The reason why I've never been to a wrestling event is because I'm from a small island in the Caribbean and going to the United States just to attend a WrestleMania or whatever is a lot of money and when I DID go to New York, it was in October 2003 and i just stayed there for a week. Now I live in Holland (a country in Europe) and WWE never comes to Holland because most Dutch people aren't wrestling fans so I'm very unlucky. But there is a small independent promotion here called DPW (Dutch Pro Wrestling) and I will attend one of their events in the near future so that will be the first wrestling event i will attend in my life.

One day i hope to go to a WrestleMania and hopefully i will enjoy the main event. If I go to a WM one day...i gotta make sure i have a great view. I won't fly to the United States to sit on one of those cheap seats where you can barely see the action.
