Don't need a fancy phone. What is the problem?
People these days have high-tech smart phones, ipads, and junk. I've been told I'm weird because I only own a simple phone that you just call on and a plain home computer. I don't need or want anything fancy. Besides I think it's stupid people pay $$$ replacing a phone they got only a year ago. Plus I don't have a Facebook or Twitter. I don't entertain people and I also think it's a waste for me. I just talk to people in the real world. Why is it such a big deal to be trendy? I always strived to stand out, not fit in.

Lol you're not weird. I have a nice smartphone, but I envy people who are so simple with electronics. You're right, it is a waste of money. If you have a working computer and you're happy, why replace it if it works for you. Some people need "fancier" phones depending on their occupation/preferences, but I've seen kids with smartphones and it's quite sad. I have Facebook and Twitter, but I barely go on anymore... I just don't care for it. I love photography though and am an Instagramer, that's like my little "hobby," something I like doing for fun...Which is most of the reason why I have a smartphone. I travel a lot too and having Google Maps on my phone helps a lot! No iPad/tablet for me though, I see no point in having one when I have a phone and laptop..

If you don't need fancy electronics and it doesn't appeal to you, then that's you're business and people shouldn't call you out on it Smile It's definitely not for everyone and completely a waste of money if you find you don't even need it.

Couldn't agree with you more. I have a simple cell phone. We got rid of our land line for economic reasons. I have a phone and my husband has a phone. We can't do anything on it but call each other. And our kids can call us. That's it. None of this texting stuff. If it's really that important, you will call us at a reasonable hour. Even if someone died. In the old days, that's how it's done. You didn't get a call, you got a visit. So we have our cheap phones and no land line. You know where we live and call at reasonable hour and no texting.
