Left my childhood friend today?

So he lives in Brisbane and we've known each other since we were babies, he's my bestest friend and I do have feelings for him, I've cried uncontrollably because I miss him a lot because I rarely get to see him, whenever I visit people in another state the day I leave I become sad because I'm emotional lol, is this normal?

It's quite normal to be sad, especially now your so far away, keep in mind, that you may have relocated, but that doesn't end your friendship...
A phone call or correspondence in writing is always available and with social networking such as facebook and twitter, there's even web chat like skype where you get to talk to your friend and see them on webcam...

I've had friends come and go through my life, but I still have friends from 30 years ago that I still talk to, we may be miles apart, but our friendships are still strong and will be until the day we die....

So chin up young Miss, never say never and remember friends will always remain in each others hearts no matter the distance apart
