me and a friend told these 2 guys that we like them but they don't lie us, help please?

me and a friend told these 2 guys who we've been friends with for years (they're close best friends, there both great guys and really nice and fun to be around they also work hard when they need to and look great) we told them that we really like them and that we want to be married someday with kids, there both great guys and really nice. they both said sorry and that they don't like us and don't want any relationship and never want marriage or kids.
now everything is so awkward any time we are around them, we all used to be great friends but now we rarely get to see or speak with them and any time we do its very awkward. they are avoiding us and rarely respond to our texts and messages on facebook.
we really want to go back to the way things were before we told them that we liked them, is there thing we can do or have we ruined the friendship for good?

Well that's very childish of them. If someone reacted that way towards me, I'd give it a rest and not bug them. You're going to come off desperate even though you want the "friendship" back the way it used to be. I'd start looking for someone else to like and focus my attention elsewhere, and if the friendship was ever really anything, maybe your guy friends will come back.
