I'm using Google Chrome, does it have anything to do with it?

This should help you out:

http://adblockplus.org/en/

This blocks all internet advertisements. I have never tried it on Facebook before but it can't hurt!

And if you mean advertisements that people post on your page then you should just block them, If it is you, contact Facebook support.

Download Firefox!
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

And get Adblock here:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox…

That will be the end of all ad's!
If you keep getting ads then it's not facebook but your computer! Your computer can get adware or spyware and show bad ads even though you block them. These bad programs force you to look at their ads.

By the way, I can't see any ads at all but I joined for everyone else.

*Beware, your computer could have spyware that would put bad ads up. Look for your default browser opening on startup trying to get you to go to a website or look at porn.* -this stuff is hard to get rid of... trust me!
